Abstract:: The bibliography covers the field of automated text categorization (ATC), a discipline at the crossroads of machine learning (ML) and information retrieval (IR). ATC is concerned with the automatic construction, by means of ML techniques, of text classifiers, i.e., programs that assign text documents to a prespecified set of labels.
